D-007 EWIS Safety Concept
This course will enhance participants’ knowledge about Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) safety aspects, for the aircraft’s initial and continued airworthiness.
Objectives
• Part-21J (DOA) Office of Airworthiness, Compliance Verification Engineers, design engineers and any personnel involved in the certification of EWIS aircraft modification • Part-21G (POA), Qualify Managers, Production Engineers, and any personnel involved in production/certification of aircraft modification • Alternate Part-21J (ADOA) personnel who are involved in the design & modification (minor/STC) of large aircrafts, appliances, and certification process and procedures • Part-145 large aircraft inspectors, certifying staff, and continued airworthiness managers • Any personnel, consultants or organizations that are involved in minor and/or STC modification, and/or repairs in EWIS aircraft By the end of this course, participants will have gained an in- depth understanding of: • EWIS and the regulatory background • the design and modification implementation concept for system and components on the EWIS aircraft • the regulatory requirements for the development of EWIS maintenance and inspection procedures • certification processes and risk assessment for the design and modification of EWIS aircraft • the purpose and development of EWIS ICA • ways to improve and enhance EWIS safety in aircraft wiring

• Part-21 Subpart J & Subpart G basic knowledge • EASA/FAA/JAR 25 basic knowledge
