O-031 Air Operation Regulation - Helicopter

Focusing on Commercial Air Transport (CAT) with helicopters, this two-day course goes through the structure and content of the Air Operation Regulation and its associated Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM).

Objectives

• Operators of CAT and/or commercial specialised operation with helicopters: Management, Nominated Persons Flight Ops and/or Crew Training, Compliance Monitoring Staff and Task Specialist Management • Inspectors from National Aviation Authorities’ Flight Operations and/or Training Departments • International Organisations operating in the European aviation environment or training for this environment To familiarise participants with the requirements of the EASA Air Operation Implementing Rules (EU) 965/2012 including all current amendments, and its associated AMC and GM for CAT and Commercial Operations of operators with helicopters.

• Detailed review and the development of EASA OPS (EU) 965/2012 and its associated AMC and GM. • Annex I - Definitions for Annexes II to VIII • Annex III - Part-ORO, Organisation requirements for CAT operators, requirements for commercial specialised operators (ORO.DEC) • Annex IV - Part-CAT, technical requirements for commercial air transport operations with helicopters • Annex V - Part-SPA, requirements for operations requiring specific approval with helicopters • Annex VI - Part-SPO, requirements for specialised operations, incl. requirements for high-risk commercial specialised operations • Associated AMC and GM • Regulatory update and current legal status Topics which are NOT covered: Annex II - Part-ARO (Authority Requirements for Air Operations), Annex VI - Part NCC (non- commercial operations with complex motor-powered aircraft), or Annex VII - Part-NCO (non-commercial operations with other- than-complex motor-powered aircraft).
