Multi-touch panels open up new dimensions for innovative HMI design. There are numerous gestures that might be used in an application: zooming in and out and rotating objects with two fingers, scrolling through lists and switching to the next screen with a quick swipe. The main advantage of multi-touch technology is how it makes operation more intuitive.
Rievtech Studio is used to create projects that can display information from a PLC, process status, or can be used to input data with virtual switches or keypads to make changes to a process. Each screen can be designed and built in minutes using ‘drag and drop’ graphical objects found in the application library. Built-in Serial and Networking Protocols will allow Rievtech HMI to locally or remotely communicate with Rievtech or other major brand PLC manufacturers.
The HMI provides the operator an effective way to control machine operation. Operator can easily be alerted to machine alarms and status conditions. Operator Screens illustrate the different sets of machine functionality typically used for setup, maintenance, product run changes and fault conditions.

Each screen for HMI can be designed and built in minutes using 'drag and drop' graphical objects found in the Rievtech Studio application development utility. A library of standard shapes are provided as well as the ability to use bitmap images to create objects.
