minerals, direct from the ocean. The standard formula includes magnesium, calcium, potassium, and zinc, and others. These play an important role in maintaining various bodily functions, including bone health, muscle function, and immune system support. The water is processed using a chemical-free desalination method, ensuring that it is safe and healthy for consumption. Unlike traditional desalination processes that may involve the use of chemicals, DeepSeaTek’s method relies on natural filtration and mineralisation processes, making the water free from harmful substances. The availability of clean, mineral-rich water is an advantage for communities facing water scarcity. By providing a reliable source of high-quality drinking water, DeepSeaTek’s technology contributes to better public health and well-being. Moreover, the oceangoing factory vessels’ mobility allows them to be deployed to areas most in need, reaching even remote communities where safe drinking water has previously been impossible to access.
growth and increased yield. Another variant is iceberg in gel form. This variant is suited to areas with limited water availability. The gel formulation is applied directly to the soil or around the roots of plants. It slowly releases water and nutrients, ensuring that they are available to the plants over an extended period. This reduces water usage and prevents leaching, making it an ideal solution for dry and arid regions. The benefits of hydro-fertilisers include water retention, saving 50-80% of water consumption, increasing arable land space. It gives an enhanced yield by reducing fertiliser consumption by 30-50% compared to traditional fertilisers, while improving crop quality and consistency. Finally, it promotes soil regeneration by enhancing aeration, stabilisation, and humus restructuring. DeepSeaTek’s hydro-fertilisers are crafted to address the unique challenges of water-scarce environments (Fig. 1). Traditional fertilisers, often applied in powder or granule form, are inefficient in such conditions as they require significant water for activation. DeepSeaTek’s hydro-fertilisers are formulated to maximise efficiency and minimise waste, ensuring that nutrients are absorbed directly by the soil and plants. The production of hydro-fertilisers involves several advanced processes, including heat, pressure, filtration, and mixing. All these steps are carried out on DeepSeaTek’s factory vessels, ensuring a controlled and efficient production environment. The result is a high-quality fertiliser that improves soil health and agricultural productivity. THE TECHNOLOGIES BEHIND DEEPSEATEK DeepSeaTek’s strength lies in its extraction and filtration
technologies. These processes ensure the efficient and sustainable conversion of deep-sea water into usable products, without harming the environment, including non-terrestrial desalination, which avoids the use of land-based resources, freeing up coastal land for other uses (Fig. 2). The desalination process also neutralises brine, preventing marine pollution with zero brine discharge. All operations are powered by onboard clean energy sources, reducing reliance on external power grids. DeepSeaTek’s factory vessels are designed to be self-sufficient, generating all the energy they need for operations onboard. This is achieved through a custom combination of solar panels, wind turbines, and other renewable energy sources. By generating their own power, these vessels reduce reliance on external power grids and minimise their carbon footprint. Additionally, DeepSeaTek has developed a filtration system that ensures water production quality. This system includes multiple stages of filtration,

existing, widely-used fertilisers — DeepSeaTek’s hydro-fertilisers are designed to optimise water and nutrient absorption in soils, making them ideal for agriculture in water-stressed areas. These fertilisers are biodegradable and efficient, minimising environmental impact. The variants include watermix in liquid form. This variant is ideal for areas with sufficient water for irrigation. It is designed to be used with standard agricultural or hydroponic farming systems. The liquid formulation ensures even distribution and rapid absorption by the plants, promoting healthy
