Population growth, escalating industrial water requirements, and the ominous specter of rising global temperatures exacerbate the condition of water security worldwide. In the face of mounting challenges to water security and the impact of climate change-induced droughts and floods, desalination and water reuse technologies emerge as resilient solutions poised to meet global water demand. The IDRA World Congress 2024, hosted by the Department of Energy Abu Dhabi with widespread endorsement from key government stakeholders, is a platform for knowledge-sharing and impactful interaction to address water scarcity. This congress will be from 8-12 Dec 2024, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is designed to
pave the way to a more secure water future by delving into various technical and business topics that revolve around innovative desalination and water reuse solutions. The World Congress agenda will span five days, featuring four parallel tracks of full-day technical sessions, high-level plenary sessions, leaders’ summit, desalination hackathon, roundtable sessions, IDRA academy courses, plant tours, welcome reception, gala dinner with awards ceremony, and closing luncheon with technical award presentations.
IDRA board of directors’ members and two experts from the Department of Energy Abu Dhabi, who will serve as the technical programme committee co-chairs. Together, they have assembled a global technical committee comprised of 10 expert topic chairs and 51 session chairs, from diverse areas of expertise. IDRA’s biennial World Congress 2024 is the premier event on desalination and water reuse solutions, providing dynamic interaction amongst stakeholders worldwide. Join us in Abu Dhabi for dynamic and collective conversations addressing the future of water and the role of technical solutions in offsetting water scarcity driven by increased demand and climate change.
