7th-8th Grade, Full Year This hands-on elective invites students to dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Through creative challenges, team projects, and real-world problem solving, students will design, build, test, and improve innovative solutions. This course sparks curiosity and builds critical thinking skills in a fun, collaborative environment. Theater Workshop Elective Instructor: Ms. Starr Peterson 6th-8th Grade, Semester Step into the spotlight! This fun and interactive course introduces students to the exciting world of theatre through group games, hands-on activities, and a collaborative classroom environment. Students will explore theatre history, technical theatre production, and the fundamentals of acting on stage. Whether you’re brand new to theatre or already love the stage, this beginning-level class is a great place to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork. All experience levels are welcome! Writing Lab Elective Instructor: Dr. Rachel Conner 6th-8th Grade, Semester Middle School Writing Lab is an elective study hall that is staffed by a English teacher who will be available to assist students with reading and writing skills necessary for the completion of their homework and mastery of content. Students may also be introduced to skills necessary to become more proficient readers and writers.
