The goal is that through this class, you will embrace God’s desire for you to be healthy in all areas of your life, and that you will look with thanksgiving, as David did, that you are, “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:4). (DC) Speech Communication Required Instructor: Dr. Brian Albert 10th-12th Grade, Semester Students will learn how to prepare and present a series of speeches including but not limited to informative, demonstrative, persuasive, impromptu, and devotional. Students will learn about the different elements of communication including body language, delivery, and content. Students will practice not only presenting but also critiquing and providing constructive feedback to their peers. Communication emphasis is to simulate “real-world” experiences rather than the study of rhetoric or formal debate.
