STUDENT, ALUMNI & FACULTY PRESENT AT THE ANNUAL ASHA CONVENTION
Faculty from Molloy CSD regularly attend the Annual Convention of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. While there, they present and disseminate their research and other service and educational projects to clinicians and academics working across the country. Often current Molloy students and/or alumni are involved in these projects and also travel to present their work.
At the 2023 convention in Boston, Molloy students and faculty had 9 presentations and posters covering various content areas. Most recently in 2024, faculty and recent alumni presented on their clinical service work in Jamaica, W.I., and the accompanying telepractice program. Upcoming in 2025, faculty will again be presenting their research, and prospective masters and Ph.D students can also find us at the Molloy CSD table at the Graduate Fair!
ANNUAL CSD CONVENTION
MOLLOY UNIVERSITY’S FOURTH ANNUAL COMMUNICATION SCIENCES AND DISORDERS CONVENTION: THE SCIENCE OF READING AND FAMILY SUPPORT PRACTICES Beginning in 2022, Molloy CSD began supplementing its continuing education offerings with an annual convention each spring. The convention design allows for multiple program offerings throughout the day designed to appeal to a diverse group of SLP’s who are able to attend either virtually or in person. All offerings are consistent with the year’s theme and focused on accessible and evidence-based practices. The convention topics and instruction levels vary for both practicing clinicians and students, and provide students who may not have the opportunity to attend larger conventions, the convention experience on a smaller scale. Each year a Career Fair is also offered for additional student networking.
This year’s convention will be Friday, March 7, 2025. Save the date and let us know if you are interested in being a convention sponsor!
