“I truly love the program, that is why I keep coming back” -Anonymous client

The Molloy University Speech, Language, and Hearing Center continues to proudly serve a large population of infants through the elderly, seeing over 100 clients per week at the speech center, FCA, Headstart, and via telepractice. Currently, the Center has also had a record number of 25 students participating in LSVT training and are currently in the process of getting certified. We also have two clinical educators, Professor Vizcarrondo and Professor Langevin, trained in LSVT. This will allow students at the clinic to provide more intense services to clients with Parkinson’s disease. The Speech, Language, and Hearing Center now have new uniforms for the students who are working in the clinic. We are thrilled to announce that the Center has participated in Rockville Center’s “Eat, Shop, Rock” street fair this summer for the first time. Their students and faculty offered complimentary hearing, speech, and language screenings. When asked her hope for the future, Professor Ascher, the Director of the Molloy University Speech, Language, and Hearing Center, hopes to have more aphasia groups and to collaborate with the clinical mental health department for support groups.
