• setting out the vision, Campus Devel- opment (Campus for the Future) frame- work, estate strategy and design stand- ards for the campus; • forms and manages the programme of investment projects, including for new buildings, infrastructure and the refur- bishment of existing assets to meet the needs of the University. Campus Services Campus Services oversees a range of criti- cal resources to deliver a great experience for students, staff and hosted businesses: • ensuring the efficient allocation of Uni- versity space through managing the Uni- versity’s residential accommodation ser- vice, learning spaces (timetabling, room bookings and audio visual technology), space audit and space planning activity; • providing effective facilities services in- cluding cleaning, travel and mail room services; • leading customer relationship teams, through operating a range of receptions, and the Facilities Helpdesk; • ensuring that teams within Campus Ser- vices support the best possible decision making across DTEF.
Our role is to provide services and facilities to the core business of the University and wider community. We monitor service lev- els ensuring that we deliver these safely, to a high quality, and in a timely manner to meet the University’s operational needs.
THE ROLE
Areas of Service Delivery
Estates Operations Estates operations are responsible for pro- viding a fit for purpose estate, ensuring: • Well-planned operations and mainte- nance of the University’s buildings and grounds, while meeting environmental sustainability objects; • The efficient provision of requisite infra- structure and utility supplies; • That the University’s estate meets health, safety and other legal requirements; • The effective management of the Uni- versity’s property portfolio. Estates Development Estates Development leads the sustainable development of the campus, including:
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role is part of the Estates Development team, and will report to the Senior Development Manager.
The postholder will take full responsibility for the successful cost management of building projects and programmes within the Capital, Master Plan and other Development portfolios. They will be fully accountable for the budget management from inception to completion. The role will support the scoping of new projects and will oversee the costing of these; car- rying out feasibility studies, leading on options appraisals and providing procurement strategy advice.
