Chap«] Trie Evelyn Dick of Ceres, Ruth Wilder of Imperial, and Carolyn Imbach, of Van Nuys, California, t h r e e native daughters of the Golden State, com pose one of the most talented iea- tures on our broadcast. These three girls had the privilege of being reared in Christian homes and all were saved when very young. At present they are attending Biola, preparing to serve the Lord wherever He sees fit to use them for His honor and glory. Evelyn, who is just com pleting her second year of work, has set her face toward Africa where she believes she has been called to labor as a missionary. Neither Ruth nor Carolyn knows as yet God’s exact place of service for her; as they continue their training they are looking to Him for direction. This group, officially known as the “ Chapel Trio,” is heard frequently by our radio listeners. As a part of the Biola Women’s Glee Club, they also sing to various club groups, in church es, at Service Men’s Centers, Children’s Homes, Youth rallies and Army camps; Their message in song has proved a blessing and they in turn have been pleased of God because of their un- selish ministry in this capacity.

MY ENLISTMENT By GERALDINE HAMLETT

'The Bible Institute of the Air" is an opening sentence familiar to radio listeners- along the Pacific Coast net works. It is heard Monday, Wednes day and Friday from 8:00 to 8:30 A. M. This introduction opens a half hour packed with interesting features deal ing with the life and work of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. Nearly one hundred young people take part in the program which is designed not only to tell about “ Biola,” but to witness for Christ. Twenty-seven stations now carry this program to an estimated one million listeners. This network pro gram has grown out of a Bible study program given by Dr. Louis T. Talbot over one Los Angeles station at 11:00 a. m. fourteen years ago. The unique ness of consecutive Bible study over the radio has widened this to one of the most popular programs ever broad cast. Nor by God’s grace shall we stop here. The aim of the Bible Institute of the Air is coast-to-coast broadcasting. Letters reach us by thousands recount ing blessings received and urging ex tension over the nation. Surely it is a most effective means of giving out the Word of. God and of interesting young people in training for Christian service. Below we furnish you full information as to Pacific Coast sta tions on which our program is carried at present:

“ Life Investment!" Certainly there is no expression more freighted with challenge and thrill. To every think ing Christian young person the ques tion comes: “What shall I do with my life?” Upon my graduation from high school, I, too, faced this question. Al most immediately the Lord spoke to my heart regarding Bible study as the means of finding His will for my life. Investments are business trans actions. I feel that the Lord, too, wants us to be definite with Him. As I be gan to look into His Word for direc tion, I took a sheet of paper and wrote down the verses through which He spoke. I read every book in the Bible several times. My list grew to one hundred and thirty verses! Always the voice said—“Africa!” ■ Having thus determined my course, I entered the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. How I praise God for the four happy years spent there! Through the instruction of consecrated teachers, Jesus Himself drew near and revealed Himself to my heart. My faith in Him grew and my knowledge of His ways increased. Nevertheless, there I counted well the cost of following Him to a heathen land. I am just like any other young person; I have been accused of having; more zest for life than some! I love America, I love my home, I love my parents. I enjoy a good car, attractive clothes, the culture of this land. Yet I know that Satan offers us the best in this life to keep us from ever realizing God’s best. Again I made a ( Continued on Page 238)
