Tax Tax strategy is one of the key components in any corporate finance transaction. How a deal is structured will have different tax ramifications. The sale of a company’s trade will be a different tax proposition to the sale of the company shares. Our Tax Directors are experienced in tax aspects of business acquisitions and disposals andwill ensure that the deal is structured in themost tax efficient manner. A buyer of trade assets will need to focus on what assets they are buying; for example, maximising tax reliefs and capital allowances on any plant and machinery they are purchasing with the trade. A London hotel, based just outside of Hyde Park, with a turnover of £3m. A family run hotel business which has been in the family for decades. They were managing company financials and VAT returns from a manual cashbook. We advised and helped them to upgrade to a cloud-based accounting system that would integrate with their hotel booking and deposit system and digitalise their company reporting and financials. A six location nursery across Greater London and Essex, they converted their accounting system to Xero. This enabled the group of companies to consolidate their financial reporting across the sites, using third party, financial reporting to better understand the financials behind the locations of the nurseries. We then integrated their nursery invoicing system with their accounts system and automated their credit control processes, which consequently, allowed a clearer understanding of the group finances at a glance. A start-up bar and restaurant in London. We helped them with integrating their E-POS system with their accounts and expense systems for automated financial reporting, cash reconciliation, bookkeeping and payroll. This automation will allow them to focus on building their business, with accurate financials to hand, and the ability to track business performance.
