Mission Movers - August ' 25

1 YEAR CELEBRATION MISSION MOVERS As we reflect on the past year, I’m proud to share how our organization continues to grow and deepen its impact. We expanded from 38 to 45 sites, welcoming more than 1,800 new youth members into our Clubs. This growth was fueled by new partnerships with Mt. Diablo Unified School District and Alum Rock Union School District—reflecting our shared commitment to creating safe, enriching spaces where young people can thrive. Our programs continue to deliver meaningful outcomes. This year: 94% of members finished the academic year on track—attending school regularly and maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or higher. 100% of eligible high school seniors graduated on time and are now attending college. 97% of youth reported that our programs help them learn and apply new concepts. 96% said they have positive relationships with Club staff, and 95% with their peers. 95% felt empowered to contribute to their communities. Among middle and high school youth, 96% abstained from substance use, and 96% abstained from sexual risk- taking. We also made important strides in supporting our staff—because thriving youth programs start with thriving teams. This year, we introduced new benefits such as tuition reimbursement and foreign language bonuses, recognizing the diverse talents and aspirations of our workforce. We also expanded our HR team, significantly improving onboarding and creating more opportunities for continuous learning and development. These outcomes are a testament to the dedication of our staff, the strength of our partnerships and the resilience of our youth. Every data point represents a story of growth, connection and possibility. While the numbers tell a powerful story, it’s the voices of our youth that truly bring it to life. As Alina, our Youth of the Year, shared: “Boys & Girls Club helped me believe in myself—in my potential. The Club provided me opportunities to learn and grow and make a difference in our Club and our community. Each experience, challenge, and achievement, the Club has been there for each milestone. For that, I am grateful.” Alina’s words remind us why we do this work. Every milestone, every moment of growth, every spark of belief—it’s all made possible by the dedication of our staff, the strength of our partnerships and the unwavering support of our community. Thank you for being part of this movement. You build brighter futures—one child, one teen, one Club, one community at a time. In Service, Mark Washbush Chief Program Officer & Chief Strategy Officer
