G rowing up in Jamaica, Mark Taylor always knew he wanted to pursue a career in construction, so it wasn’t a huge leap when he pivoted to architecture after realising it would allow him to use both his technical and creative abilities. Meanwhile, more than 5,000 miles away in Geneva, Switzerland, Susan Brewster was interested in the arts and history with no particular knowledge of architecture until her father, a Caribbean national
who worked with the United Nations, encouraged her to consider it as a career path. She accepted the challenge and found it to be just where she belonged. Years later, Mark and Susan would meet in Jamaica while working at Marvin Goodman and Associates.
