How to Select Your Bathroom Toilet and What Are the Choices? There is a lot to consider when choosing a new toilet, let’s start with the types and features of each one:

Comfort Height

Rimless

Rimless

A rimless toilet is simply a toilet without a traditional rim. Instead of water flowing into the bowl all the way around the rim, a direct flush technique directs water around the edge of a smooth pan. Rimless toilets are easy to clean and more hygienic than a traditional toilet pan.

Comfort height bowls are 440 to 480mm high. A standard height is 400mm. The extra height can be good for the knees and back and can offer other benefits to the taller people, elderly and people with mobility problems.

Fully Shrouded

Open Back

Open back toilet is where the back of the pan does not touch the wall. This allows for easy access to the pipework at the back of the WC.

A fully shrouded toilet, is where the waste pipe and water inlet are fully within the ceramic, so the toilet sits flush against the wall. This makes it easier to keep clean, with no crevices or germ traps.

Low Level

What else should I consider? Space Available: Measure the available space in your bathroom to determine the size and type of WC that will fit comfortably. Style Preferences: Consider the overall design and aesthetic of your bathroom. Modern, traditional, or minimalist styles. Comfort and Height: Ensure the WC is at a comfortable height, especially for elderly or disabled users. Water Efficiency: Look for WCs with high water efficiency ratings. Dual flush toilets offer options for different flush volumes, saving water. Installation Type: Determine if you need a floor-mounted or wall-mounted WC. Wall-mounted WCs can save space and provide a modern look but may require more complex installation. Maintenance: Consider the ease of cleaning and maintenance. Some WCs have rimless designs or special features that make cleaning easier.

Back to Wall

Wall Hung

The low level is generally a traditional style toilet which has a connecting pipe from the cistern to the pan. Our medium level toilet is operated by a lever flush.

A back to wall toilet is installed directly onto a supportive wall while the cistern can be concealed by a back to wall unit or within the wall itself making them aesthetically pleasing and a space saving option.

The toilet bowl is mounted onto the wall using a support frame. Like back to wall toilets, the cistern is concealed within the wall, accessible via the flush plate. This makes them aestethically pleasing and very practical when it comes to cleaning.

High Level

Semi Shrouded

Smart WC

This is the ultimate in traditional style, with the cistern positioned high up on the wall behind the pan, with an old-fashioned pull chain flush. The cistern is connected to the pan via a long stainless steel pipe.

Equipped with advanced features like bidet functions, heated seats, and automatic flushing. Enhanced comfort and hygiene, modern technology.

A semi shrouded toilet is where the waste pipe and water inlet are semi enclosed within the ceramic, giving access to the pipe but not visible.
