They are an important part of our mission to enhance the quality of life for all Chanhassen residents and to make Chanhassen a community for life. pickleball at a reduced cost. Both the adaptive recreation and scholarship programs are here to support the community and allow all residents to many more. Residents of all ages can receive free 1:1 support from an inclusion support specialist in any Chanhassen program, such as introductory youth sports programs, summer camps or field trips. Scholarships are available to Chanhassen residents in need, providing financial assistance that can be applied to most of our recreation offerings. Active older adults with the Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit or Renew Active/ One Pass programs can utilize the Recreation Center fitness room, open gym time and open

I am often asked what programs our city offers that I wish more residents knew about. There are many, but two that come to mind are the adaptive recreation & inclusion support program and the recreation scholarship program. Chanhassen’s adaptive recreation program is a cooperative effort between the City of Chanhassen and Reach for Resources, an organization dedicated to providing programs designed for individuals with disabilities. Adaptive programming for adults runs throughout the year and includes sports leagues, art classes, special events, support groups and more. Inclusion support is provided at no cost to any child or adult participating in a Chanhassen Parks & Recreation program.

Carver County Library Storytimes Storytimes are an early literacy experience where we sing, play, write, talk and read together. The storytime program will run through May 8. Toddler storytimes are Mon. at 10:30 a.m. with pre-school storytimes at 10:30 a.m. on Tue., 10:30 a.m. on Wed., and 3:30 p.m. on Sun. Baby storytimes are Thu. at 10:30 a.m.
