THE TEN
An Insider's Guide to Our Town
Phase 1 of Chanhassen's new Civic Campus, including City Hall and a Senior Center, opens late summer. This vibrant hub will enhance downtown with modern facilities and gathering spaces for all, partially powered by solar panels on the roof to support sustainability. Phase 2 of the Galpin Boulevard Improvement Project kicks off in the spring! Expect safer intersections, multi-use trails, roundabouts and upgraded stormwater systems as we continue to enhance this key corridor for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians alike. A new roundabout at Minnetonka Middle School West will reduce congestion and improve safety in the area. This improvement aims to create a smoother, safer experience for students, families and commuters. Chanhassen now has a public organics recycling drop-off at Feed My Starving Children (18732 Lake Drive E) thanks to a partnership with RecycleCarver. Reduce landfill waste by composting food scraps and soiled paper products—better for your wallet and the environment! June will be a fun month at the Chanhassen Fire Department! Safety Camp returns for 3 rd and 4 th graders and “Fishing with First Responders” debuts for ages 5-15 at Lake Ann. Learn safety skills or fish with local heroes—supplies provided, unforgettable experiences await!
Residents voted to support the Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center in 2024. In 2025, you’ll have opportunities to provide feedback and help shape the design for this exciting project. Stay tuned to make your voice heard!

Civic Campus Opens 2025
The revamped Senior Center opens late summer as part of the new Civic Campus. Expect enhanced spaces, exciting programs and potentially a new name. Stay tuned for updates and new opportunities for Chanhassen’s 55+ community! Upper Riley Creek is being restored by the watershed district through a $3.3 million project to enhance the stream bed, channel and floodplain. This effort will improve habitat, promote diverse vegetation, reduce sediment and improve water quality in Lake Susan. In 2025, look forward to innovative tech upgrades like robotic lawn mowers, a robotic field line striper and remote lighting control for hockey rinks and pickleball courts— bringing efficiency and sustainability to Chanhassen's recreational spaces. Exciting changes are coming to downtown Chanhassen. In 2025, work will begin on transforming the former Chanhassen Cinema and Country Inn & Suites into a vibrant hub with 310 market-rate apartments, 14,000 sq. ft. of retail space (including dining and shopping options) and a brand new Prince mural!
