WINNER ACCOMMODATION VENUE OF THE YEAR - METRO the COVE TASMANIA

In one of the night’s surprise results, The Cove Tasmania claimed the prestigious Accommodation Venue of the Year – Metro title, edging out some of the state’s most established properties. The North West Coast retreat also collected awards for Best Superior Accommodation and Best Environment and Recycling Practice, marking an exceptional year of recognition for the team. The wins highlight The Cove’s remarkable evolution from a boutique glamping concept into one of Tasmania’s most distinctive coastal destinations. Combining striking design, sustainability and genuine local hospitality, the venue continues to attract visitors seeking something both luxurious and grounded in nature. “We are extremely happy and surprised, it has been a lot of hard work the last 12 months. Our new development has put us again on the map and our staff, our whole team, credit goes to them,” owner Kim Robinson said. “It is a wonderful asset to the NW Coast and Tasmania.”

Reflecting on the venue’s origins, she added: “Our initial idea was a few tents and a rustic kitchen and it has certainly evolved from that to what is much bigger than we ever anticipated, much busier than we ever anticipated, but we love every minute of it.” The Cove’s success comes only months after the opening of five new suites, Basalt restaurant, Atrium Bar and Cafe, and the Corporate Centre.
