Spring In The Vines INDUSTRY FEATURE

Spring in the Vines. A long weekend bursting with the beauty of southern Tasmanian wine. Spring is back - and so is one of Tasmania’s most anticipated wine events, Spring in the Vines. Running from October 31 to November 2, 2025, this annual festival has quickly become a favourite on Tasmania’s wine calendar since its launch in 2020. Over three days, Spring in the Vines invites visitors to explore Southern Tasmania’s cool-climate wine regions, from the Coal River and Derwent Valleys to the Huon Valley, the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, and the emerging Tasman Peninsula. As spring takes hold with new growth, budburst, and blossoms, the festival offers a rare opportunity to tour more than 40 vineyards and wineries, many of which are usually closed to the public, for a weekend of wine, food, and discovery. Set against a landscape where vineyards meet orchards, rivers, farms, and wild coastal hills, it’s the perfect way to experience the beauty and flavour of Southern Tasmania in one unforgettable three-day weekend. More than just wine tasting, Spring in the Vines offers the chance to meet the makers, enjoy live music, and savour gourmet local food, all set
against the stunning backdrop of Tasmania in full spring bloom. Timed perfectly with the season of renewal, the festival is an opportunity for producers to showcase their latest releases, with many unveiling new vintages of rosé, riesling, pinot gris, and sparkling wines. This focus on fresh releases makes each year’s event unique, offering visitors a first taste of what’s new across the region. This year welcomes a number of new cellar doors and producers, including By Chane Wines in Glenorchy, Chatto Wines in the Huon Valley, Caledon Estate, Bear and Bird Wines, 2forty9 Wine Farm, and Richmond Park Estate in the Coal River
