cade (Rev. 19:11-16). Is it hot written: “When the Lord shall build up Zion [then], he shall appear in his glory” (Psa. 102:16) ? T h e B ones in t h e V alleys of E arth A re R olling The “bones” in the valleys are rolling! The resur rection of Israel, with all the glorious things that that resur rection promises to the children of men, is even now taking place, unless signs are without possible interpretation and beyond human comprehension. But signs are not without interpretation or beyond comprehesion, else they are not signs. And signs, the Lord our God, according to His own immutable promise, has given us. And He has said: “Ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should over take you as a.thief” (1 Thess. 5 :4). In tones that are lit erally thundering; every sign God ever gave to His chil dren proclaims to the world of men: The times of the Gentiles have answered their need, And the “hiss”- [cf. Isa. 5 :26; Zech. 10:8] has gone forth unto Israel’s seed. W h a t O n e W oman J M rs . your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have: spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord (Ezek. 37:11-14)- If these words do not declare that the “whole house of Israel,” even while still out of “the land,” is to be resurrect ed and restored to “the land” (Palestine), then words are without any certain meaning. And one has only to read the sign of the two sticks that completes the chapter and the strange experience of the prophet, to understand that this resurrection “out of . . . graves” is not a resurrection of individuals, but the resurrection of a nation. The pro phetic words are clear, conclusive, and final: Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one na tion in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two king-" doms any more at all (Ezek. 37:21, 22). Nor are we left in the dark as to who shall reign over this resurrected nation, for it is written: And D a v i d my

Mrs. Mary Leighton Floyd went to Palestine as a child with a group of A m e r i c a n Christian Zionists, and became well known as a mem ber of the colony that settled between Jaffa and T e l A v i v in 1866. In her autobiog raphy she wrote: “I have lived to see what my parents wished to see, the land being re stored, the Jews return ing to their, homeland. God in His goodness granted that I should see this.” When little M a r y Leighton w a s b o r n , there were a few more than 12,000 Jews in all the land of Palestine. Up to three years be fore her birth, no Jew

servant shall be king over them; . . . And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my ser vant, wherein your fa thers h a v e d w e l t ( Ez e k . 37:24, 25). They shallt'serve the Lord their God, and David t h e i r ki ng , , whom I will raise up unto them (Jer. 30:9). A resurrected King reigning over a resur rected nation! And let there be no confusion as to who this resur rected “D a v i d ” is. Mr. Floyd was one of the first American Colony pioneers to settle in Jaffa, Palestine. In 1867 he constructed this American two-horse wagon, the first of its kind to be used to take tourists by road to Jerusalem from the coast at Jaffa. Three days were required for the journey, which is now made in less than three hours.

was allowed to buy a foot of the land that once belonged to his fathers. It was in 1855 that Sir Moses Montefiore secured permission for Jews to purchase land in Palestine. Mary Leighton had been in Palestine several years before the Alliance Israelite started the first Jewish agricultural school at Mikveh Israel, near Jaffa, in 1870. She saw the sons of Jacob begin their slow homeward trek. She saw their numbers grow to 25,000 in 1882. Then she saw them migrating to “the land” at the rate of about 2,000 each year, chiefly because of the oppressor’s sword in Russia. Then, in 1897, her emotions were stirred when she saw the founding of the Zionist Organization by Theodor Herzl. When the World War burst like a bomb over the na tions, she saw 80,000 sons and daughters of Jacob dwelling within the land of their fathers. Imagine the quickened

and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of. the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He, seeing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption (Acts 2 :29-31). Many, many other passages, with equal clarity, set be fore us the fact that the resurrected nation will require the resurrected King! Then, when that resurrection takes place, “the fulness of the Gentiles” (Rom. 11:25) will come in, and “the times of the Gentiles” (Lk. 21 :24) will end as “the King of the Jews” rides—not down a hill upon a humble ass, but down from the opened heavens upon the most magnificent charger ever saddled for a conqueror’s triumphant caval
