“THE 2025 CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE PROVIDED OUR UNDERGRADUATE LEADERSHIP WITH INVALUABLE EXPOSURE TO NATIONAL DIALOGUE ”

experts, and legislators who spoke on the intersection of healthcare access and social justice. These conversa- tions helped the men understand how systemic issues directly influence community wellness and empha- sized the need for more diverse voices in medicine and public health leadership. For several brothers, the experience felt like a homecoming. Grand Board Member Jaden G. York a Summer 2025 Congressional Black Caucus Founda- tion intern, was able to reconnect with his cohort and offer real examples of growth, perseverance, and purpose. It showed the that the conference is not just a one-time event but a launching point for lifelong impact. A major highlight came when 49th Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris and Brother Con- gressman Hakeem Jeffries took the stage of the Phoenix Awards Banquet. Hearing them speak in person gave

the group a clear message about what representation and determination look like at the highest levels. Their words underscored the importance of staying engaged, informed, and ready to lead. The 2025 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Leg- islative Conference provided our undergraduate leadership with invaluable exposure to national dialogue, professional development, and historical context. It placed them

in rooms that tested their awareness, expanded their thinking, and con- nected them to mentors who model excellence in action. Ultimately, the experience reinforced a simple truth: the future of leadership depends on preparation and presence. The brothers left Washington, D.C. with a stronger sense of purpose, a clearer view of their potential, and a commit- ment to carry forward the legacy of service as leading voices for our under- graduates and fraternity as a whole. ♦
