Serving with Principle and Precision Newly appointed Director of Undergraduate Affairs and 98th Guy L. Grant Awardee, Daniel I. Nixon is changing the game.

L eadership hits different when it’s built on hustle and heart. Daniel I. Nixon (Eta Upsilon 2018) isn’t just stepping into a new role, he’s redefining what it means to lead with purpose. As of October 1, 2025, the former track star turned strategic innovator officially took the baton as Director of Undergraduate and University Affairs for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. From the track to the boardroom, Nixon brings the same energy, focus, and drive that have pow- ered his journey since his initiation,
and he’s just getting started. “Brother Nixon was identified as a well-qualified individual to become the new Director of Undergraduate and University Affairs,” said 109th Elder Watson Diggs Awardee and Kappa Alpha Psi Executive Director/COO John F. Burrell. “His leadership has already strengthened undergraduate engagement and innovation across the fraternity.” For Nixon, the undergraduate experience is not just a chapter in Kappa—it’s the foundation for
leadership that lasts a lifetime. “My vision is centered on elevating the undergraduate experience through intentional support, meaningful engagement, and real opportunities for growth,” Nixon said. “I want every brother to feel supported, chal- lenged, and prepared to reach his full potential.” His approach is rooted in a belief that accountability and mentorship must walk hand in hand.
