UNDERGRADUATE SPOTLIGHT LEADERSHIP

“ MY GOAL IS TO STRENGTHEN UNDERGRADUATE ENGAGEMENT, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT. I WANT TO CREATE A MORE UNIFIED UNDERGRADUATE NETWORK THROUGH MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ”

He also contributes to the Nupe Red Table Talk, an initiative focused on improving men’s mental health and fostering honest, solution-oriented dialogue among Kappa men. “Service connects everything I do,” he said. “Whether it’s mentoring, volun- teering, or competing, I try to bring encouragement and energy to every space I’m in.” In January 2025, only weeks after joining the fraternity, Brother Alexis was named Brother of the Month for his exceptional leadership, initiative, and service within the bond. Those who know him describe him as approach- able, thoughtful, and purpose-driven, someone who leads by example and through quiet consistency. His academic and athletic honors are matched by his character. For Justin, leadership is not about being at the center of attention; it is about making sure others feel seen, valued, and supported. With aspirations to pursue a career in science and healthcare, Justin hopes to one day merge his love of biology with a lifelong commitment to service. “Success is not just about personal achievement,” he reflected. “It is about inspiring and elevating the people around you.” His outlook captures the essence of what it means to be a Kappa Man: one who serves, leads, and uplifts others while striving for excellence. As a student, athlete, and fraternity leader, Grand Lt. Strategus Alexis continues to set a standard of integrity and purpose that reflects both his personal values and the enduring legacy of Kappa Alpha Psi.

is committed to building bridges between undergraduates and alumni while advancing the mission of the 35th Administration. “As a member of this Administration, my goal is to strengthen undergraduate engagement, leadership development, and commu- nity impact,” he said. “I want to create a more unified undergraduate network through mentorship opportunities, consistent communication, and national initiatives that empower brothers to lead within and beyond Kappa.” The Grand Polemarch’s vision for the fraternity’s future centers on accountability, professionalism, and innovation—qualities that continue to guide his work as a national officer and emerging leader. Alexis sees leadership as both personal and collective growth. His experience working alongside other national officers has shaped his belief that the fraternity’s power lies in unity of purpose. “I plan to support the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch’s efforts by fostering collaboration and

accountability among this group of visionary leaders,” he said. “Together, we represent what it means to be like-minded men striving for continual growth. Our shared goal is to elevate undergraduate leadership and leave a lasting mark on the Grand Chapter.” His leadership philosophy is cen- tered on amplifying others’ strengths. He believes that when brothers lift one another, the entire fraternity moves forward together. Outside of the fraternity, Brother Alexis remains deeply engaged in ser- vice, mentoring, and advocacy. He is a proud member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, S.T.E.M. White Coat, and the Church Canvassing Committee, where he helps organize community outreach initiatives. His volunteer work includes feeding families through his home church, restocking food pantries at the Ronald McDonald House, and promoting youth literacy during National Reading Day at Essie Academy.
