“ KASIMU WAS LONG REGARDED AS A TOP- TIER BROTHER AND SOMEONE WE KNEW WE WOULD HEAR FROM. THAT’S HOW HE BECAME A NATIONAL OFFICER, WHICH WAS OUR FIRST POINT OF CONTACT.” - Cleophus Thomas Jr., Esq. 4th Guy L. Grant Awardee, 77th Elder Watson Diggs Awardee, 77th Laurel Wreath Laureate, and Kappa Alpha Psi’s General Counsel
City. Past Journal Editor Thomas L. Cunningham IV (Alpha Xi 1989, Journal Editor 2014-2015) reached out to him to enlist his sharp photo- graphic eye to capture the Conclave’s significant events. He composed and snapped a photo that included 102nd Elder Watson Diggs Awardee Alvin L. Barrington in the French Quarter, near Bourbon Street, which would later appear on the cover for Spring/ Summer 2015 Conclave issue. As Brother Harris’ profile as an artist was ascending, his work with the fraternity served as a compass for the future.
