● $250 Million for DOJ COPS Program provided as non-competitive contracts under Public Law 638; ● 10% Set-aside for Tribal Governments of OJP Funding; ● 10% Set-aside for Tribal Governments of Crime Victim Funds; ● $150 Million for FBI Agents and Assistant U.S. Attorneys for Indian Country under Federal Jurisdiction; ● $150 Million to Redress Murdered and Missing Indian Persons; ● $300 Million for BIA Detention and Public Safety Construction Program; ● $400 Million for Tribal Courts, Tribal Prosecutors, and Probation Officers and diversion programs; ● $300 Million for I.H.S. Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Rehabilitation; and ● Public Law 638 and Public Law 102-477 Master Contract and Grant Administration Authority for Interior, Justice, HUD, Homeland Security and HHS; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Indian Gaming Association calls upon Congress and the President to establish an Indian Country Crime Fighting Commission co-chaired by the Attorney General, Secretary of the Interior, and an elected Tribal Leader, with its membership composed of elected Tribal Leaders, and staffed by DOJ, FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals, OJP, AS-IA, OJS, and Tribal Law Enforcement and Tribal Courts; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Indian Gaming Association calls upon Congress and the President to restore and revitalize the original authority of Tribal Nations to provide complete and comprehensive law enforcement in Indian country; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED , that this resolution shall be the policy of Indian Gaming Association until it is withdrawn or modified by subsequent resolution.
