NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Indian Gaming Association commends the Oglala Sioux Tribe and the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe for working together to preserve the Wounded Knee Massacre Memorial and Sacred Site Lands without commercial development and for cooperating in the drafting and development of H.R. 3371 and S. 2088; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on behalf of our Great Plains relatives who lost their lives at Wounded Knee, the Indian Gaming Association wishes them peace in their resting place in the stars of the Milky Way and vows to never forget our People and to always respectfully honor their lives, spirits and memories. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Indian Gaming Association commends Rep. Dusty Johnson and Senator Mike Rounds and John Thune for introduction H.R. 3371 and S. 2088 respectively; and urges Congress to pass the bills at the earliest possible date; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Indian Gaming Association urges Congress to pass H.R. 3371 and S. 2088, the Wounded Knee Massacre Memorial and Sacred Site Act, and respectfully calls upon President Biden to sign it into law expeditiously; BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED , that this resolution shall be the policy of Indian Gaming Association until it is withdrawn or modified by subsequent resolution.
