WHY LED LIGHTS?
LUMENS — Two commonly used terms in the LED light industry are raw lumens and effective lumens. Raw lumens are measured when the lights first turn on, at which point the lights are cold and have maximum output. While running, the lights get hotter and use the heat sink to stay cool. Effective lumens are measured when the LEDs are at a constant operating temperature, providing a more realistic measurement for regular, prolonged usage. When we refer to lumens for Tiger Lights, we are referencing effective lumens. COLOR TEMPERATURE — Color temperature is a characteristic of visible light, measured in units of absolute temperature on the Kelvin scale (K). Lower temperature light has a warmer color (for example, candlelight is approximately 1,900K). Halogen lights emit a warmer colored light around 3,000 K. High temperature light has a cooler color (for example, daylight is approximately 6,000K). Tiger Lights' LED lighting has a temperature range of 5,500-6,000K, which emits a clear white light similar in temperature to daylight, causing less eye strain for operators.
MORE ECONOMICAL — An initial investment in LED lights provides a larger savings over time. LEDs last five times longer than their HID or halogen counterparts. SAFER FOR OPERATORS — LED lights are more powerful than traditional halogen lights, increasing the distances drivers can see. The bright white color and overall coverage of LED lights also reduces operator fatigue. MORE EFFICIENT — LEDs use less energy, which reduces the power draw and strain on equipment electrical systems. EASY TO INSTALL — Tiger Lights LED lights are designed to be a direct OEM replacement and offer Plug and Play application for fast and easy installation. They come equipped with factory-style brackets, connectors and mounting points.
