Sustainable Seafood

Ensuring there is plenty of sustainable seafood available for future generations is what drives the Quinnipiac Dining and Compass Group sustainable seafood policy. We adhere to the Seafood Watch program, where only "Best Choice" and "Good Alternative" rated items are considered sustainable. We partner with venders that offer wild seafood from well- managed fisheries and fish from responsibly managed farms. Our goal is to continue to remove all unsustainable wild and farmed seafood from our menus. Our guests should feel confident in our persistant efforts to serve food that is sourced responsibly.

Be-A-Star is a sector based incentive program that recognizes associates and teams for achieving business excellence.It is a roadmap for the consistent implementation of key business initiatives. CEO of Chartwells, Lisa McEuen had this to say about Be-A-Star, "Be-A-Staris a Chartwells Higher Education premier recognition program that provides associates with a variety of opportunities to receive divisional and national attention for thier outstanding achievements and contributions. This year's program theme Fresh Ingredients highlights the idea that by thinking, acting and working in innovative new ways, we can achieve results that are transformational. Management will be nominating associates over the next few weeks based on the Chartwells Pillars: People- We build high performing teams and treat our people with care and concern. Cuisine- We cook from scratch, menu by season and source responsibly. Community- We take our lead from our guests. Culture- We face our challenges head on. Ideas- We treat every day as rebid.
