performed. The Lord seems to expect that each Christian will want to build a tower for Him, to cultivate a field for Him, or to have some part in the multi tudinous jobs that demand the attention of Christians. He does not wish us to bury our talents in the ground. He ex pects us to invest our best for His glory. He wants to give rewards and words of commendation. Let us not disappoint him!

February 26, 1950 An Over-All Plan for Working Together 1 Cor. 12:12-27 In order that the work of God may prosper, it is necessary that each servant of God recognize the talents and the gifts of every one who serves the Lord. The carpenter must not tell the plumber how to do his job. The bricklayer must not give instructions to the electrician. It is essential, however, that each one should know something about the plans of the other so that each one may do his work in such a way that the other will not be hindered, but rather helped. This means that there must be happy consul tation together. God Has Given a Master Plan for His Work Eph. 5:17 Every building is planned on blue prints. On this print is shown what the carpenters are to do, the stone masons, the plumbers, the electricians, et cetera. All the workmen must conform to the information and instructions on this print. If this is not done, there is con fusion and each worker is hindered. The final results are a disappointment. God’s Word tells us exactly His thoughts and ways concerning His work in this world. As Moses made all things according to the pattern showed him in the mount, so we must serve according to the teach ing we find in the Scripture. God Has Given Each One His Work 1 Cor. 12:11 Much confusion may come from dis content with the work one is doing be cause of a desire to do that which some one else is doing. The Holy Spirit knows best what each one can do successfully. As we look to Him and depend upon Him to direct our activities, our service, and our ministry, we may be thoroughly assured that the Spirit will lead us into the kind of work that we can do best. He knows our ability and also our inability. He will never place a square peg in a round hole. Let us learn to depend upon the Spirit of God to place us where we can be best used. God Wants All of His Children to Serve Matt. 20:4 There is never any excuse for the child of God to be idle in the service of God. The harvest is great. The grain is ready. Hearts are hungry. All the redeemed should have a deep desire to serve that blessed One who gave His life a ransom for our souls. “ Love so amazing, so divine, demands . . . my all.” Each one can do something just as each part of the body has a service to render. None need to be idle. Let each one who is saved by grace go to the Lord of the harvest and say, “ What wilt thou have me to do?” God Will Give His Approval Matt. 25:21 There is great satisfaction in seeing a task finished or in seeing a work well J A N U A R Y , 1 9 5 0

Her father and mother were killed, the grandmother, a sister and one brother live in a work-kitchen, with only one bed, one table, and not enough chairs for all. In the evening the children lie on the earthen floor upon sacks. We look after 60 children, and we need especially money for food. Pov erty and suffering amongst the families we visit is still very great. Many fathers have re turned from Russian prisons weak and tuber cular. Please look with the compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ upon these His needy brethren, and help to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and promulgate the Gospel. Kindly send your gifts to us at this time of great need and opportunity. A folder of “ News Letters from Hebrew Christians in Europe” sent on request.

How grateful we feel, for not only were our bodies fed and clothed, but our wavering faith in our merciful Saviour was restored.” The matron of a children’s home in Ger many writes: “ Full of joy and gratitude we
