COMPRISING SEVEN MODERN NEW-BUILD HOUSES IN MONEYMORE, THE DEVELOPMENT ALIGNS WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY GOALS WHILE SUPPORTING RURAL HOUSING NEEDS… Bell Contracts delivers sustainable housing

A high-quality renewable housing project, designed to provide comfortable, secure and energy- efficient homes for the local community, has been delivered by Bell Contracts in partnership with Rural Housing Association. Comprising seven new-build houses at Old Mill Crescent, Moneymore, the development has been constructed with sustainability and long-term affordability at the forefront. Each home features 100% low- energy lighting and fittings, both internally and externally, significantly reducing energy consumption and running costs. External lighting incorporates PIR sensors, meeting Secured by Design standards to enhance safety and security for residents. The homes benefit from underfloor heating throughout, combined with liquid screed floors, ensuring efficient heat distribution,

improved thermal performance and enhanced living comfort. Mechanical heat recovery ventilation systems are installed in all properties, providing a continuous supply of fresh air while minimising heat loss and maintaining a healthy indoor environment. Heating and hot water are supplied via air-source heat pumps, offering a low-carbon, renewable alternative to traditional heating systems and contributing to reduced carbon emissions across the development. As a result of these measures, all properties have achieved a strong B Energy Performance Certificate rating, reflecting the project’s commitment to energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and future-proofed housing. Overall, the scheme delivers modern, sustainable homes that align with renewable energy goals while supporting rural housing needs and long-term community resilience.
