TO BOOK ROOM CUSTOMERS

During the great gold rush to California it is said that one of the places of entertainment along the route displayed in a prominent place a sign reading:

P L E A S E D O N ’ T SH O O T A T T H E P I A N I S T — H E ’S D O IN G H I S B E S T

The Biola Book Room has felt very much in favor of hanging out a similar sign lately. Unfortunately a number of our cus tomers do not realize the state of the mails. One letter mailed to us from'Fresno did not reach us for fifteen days and we had two other letters from the same party scolding us for delay before the original order reached us. We aim to get all mail orders out the same day. Of course, we don’t always succeed, but in the majority of cases we do. When the goods leave the shipping room and the expressman or mail carrier gets them we can do no more to hasten them. (So be kind to us, please. We will help you in any way wo can. We want you to feel that this is YOUR Store, and we’ll do anything to make you realize it. But don’t blame us for Uncle Sam’s mistakes and the express people’s errors.

PLEASE DON’T SHOOT—WE’RE DOING OUR BEST
