188 pretty soon they grow into a big weed like this. Now we do not like the weeds but we can learn a wonderful lesson from them. Let us bow our heads and thank Jesus for the wonderful lessons we can learn every day in the things we see about us. Lesson Story: A long time ago just after Jesus, had gone back to heaven all the people that knew about Jesus and loved Him lived in one place, and they had not built any churchës yet, but met together to worship in each other's homes, and in the temple. The people who did not love Jésus did not like to see the friends of Jesus meeting to-, gether and praising God, and they did everything they could to keep them from meeting and holding church ser vice, and would disturb their meetings, and they even became so wicked they would take people out of the meetings, put them in prison and punish them; and sometimes they even killed them. Some of the people moved away from this place and went to live in different parts of the country, and boys and girls what do you think happened? These people who loved Jesus when they moved into the new places told the people all about Jesus and His love for them and how He had died for them and that He was now in heaven getting a home ready for everybody that would love Him and be His people. And so we see that even these wicked people helped to spread the good news about Jesus into other parts of the world, and that is just what Jesus told them to do before He went back to heaven, and that is what He wants every boy.and girl, and every man and woman that loves Him to do now, to tell others about Him, and that is Our memory verse for our story today. Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. These wicked people did not love Jesus and they tried to keep other people from hearing about Him. but when they drove some of the
people away into other places, they did not think they would go on telling the people in the new place about Jesus. Now do you see how this weed made me think about our story today, by scattering the seeds and then the wind and birds carried the seeds to other places where there were no weeds> and . of course these seeds grew and in a little while there were weeds in the other place too. I wonder if there are some boys and girls that live near you, or some big folks that do not go to church or Sunday School, and of course if they do not go to hear abut Jesus they do not know much about Him, and that Jesus is the only person who can save them from their sins and give them a beautiful home with Him up in heaven. That is why God has given us these beautiful stories in the Bible to help us to remember to do the things the stories tell us about. Let us see how many we can find this week to tell them about Jesus. That is why I brought this weed because weeds are such common things that we all know what they are, and can hardly look anywhere without seeing them, so now every weed you see you will remember our story about telling the good news of Jesus and His love to everybody. Closing Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus we thank thee for letting us be little helpers in telling the story of thy love.
