God is never in a hurry. Regulate your pace to fall in with God’s and you will be in no danger.— Sel. v. 10. Came unto the iron gate. Rhoda was the one who believed it was Peter and this is probably the rea­ son her name is mentioned in this hook. A poor maid, perhaps a slave girl, pleased God because she had faith.— Gaebelein. answer.— Sel. Evidently they had prayed without expectation. They were not unbelievers. They had- not the slightest doubt that God was able to deliver Peter but they were not living in expectation of it. This is the char­ acter of many of our prayer meetings today.-p^Haldeman. Lesson Story: At the time of our story there was a wicked king ruling over1the people, and he began to perse cute the Christians, that is he put them in prison, and even killed them, and so he took Peter and put him in prison, and put a chain around his wrists with a soldier on guard, and also placed
