NTI Issue #3 2025

In a night that celebrated innovation, inclusion, and impact, Amy Everson was honoured with the STEM Champion Award at the prestigious 2025 Diversity in Tech Awards (DITA). Held in Dublin and attended by hundreds of industry leaders, advocates, and changemakers, the event spotlighted individuals and organisations driving meaningful progress in technology and diversity.

Amy received the award in recognition of her outstanding leadership of GirlsGetSET, a global initiative that has inspired and empowered over 1,300 girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Her work has not only opened doors for young women across multiple regions—including the UK, Brazil, USA, Italy, Poland, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai—but has also set a benchmark for inclusive STEM outreach. A Legacy of Impact Under Amy’s guidance, GirlsGetSET has grown from a local engagement programme into a global movement. From hands-on workshops and mentoring sessions to large-scale STEM events, her efforts have consistently put young people—and especially girls—at the heart of engineering and innovation. Her commitment to diversity and education has also extended into broader initiatives, including safeguarding training for volunteers, strategic partnerships with schools, and the creation of meaningful work experience opportunities. Celebrating a Champion The STEM Champion Award is a testament to Amy’s vision, dedication, and ability to turn ideas into action. Her work exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose and passion, and her recognition at DITA 2025 serves as a powerful reminder of the impact one person can have on the future of STEM.

AMY ISN’T JUST SHAPING THE FUTURE— SHE’S HELPING OTHERS BUILD IT TOO.
