Job Description

• Work closely with business intelligence and systems teams to ensure a smooth flow of enquiries into leads and bookings. • Continually review, optimise and test marketing campaigns and initiatives to ensure effectiveness and return on investments. • Work closely with web development agency and team to manage, optimise and improve website for both marketing of assets and specific campaign delivery alongside developing and improving SEO.

Key Responsibilities

PR & External Communications

The key duties for the role are:

• Monitor and identify and support senior leadership team on any activity which relates to crisis PR or brand/reputation management. • Support targeted PR campaigns aimed at key consumer or B2B investors and stakeholders. • Support media training and briefings to senior leadership team alongside retained PR agency.

Marketing Campaigns & Strategy

• Working with the Marketing Manager – Brands and Site Strategy plan, develop and implement a robust marketing campaign to meet marketing KPI and business financial and occupancy objectives. • Working alongside Marketing Managers and Design team ensure that campaign messaging and objectives gets delivered appropriately across all appropriate channels, including onsite marketing, social media, third party advertising and review channels, PPC, remarketing, content (SEO), programmatic, digital display (online and SU/university), outdoor and experiential. • Work closely with wider marketing team to ensure delivery of digital and traditional marketing campaigns which align with strategic direction of business and achieve financial, and non- financial business targets. • Work to engage and support team members to be open to fair critique of campaigns and messaging to engage those who are closest to our customers and experts in the sector. • Support Marketing Director to deliver a B2B engagement and relationship marketing activity which supports building key university relationships aimed at increasing nominations agreements. • Working with Marketing Manager – Brand and Site Strategy to implement a content marketing strategy which is aligned with target keywords, engages audiences and delivers to key brand messages. • Manage and supervise digital, experiential and promotional agency contracts to ensure delivers to contract, focusing on project delivery and budget management. • Manage PPC and Paid social campaigns via agency ensuring that campaigns are developed to align with site plans alongside delivering a generic national campaign.

Budget Management

Data, Insights & ROI

• Work with Marketing Manager – Brand and Site Strategy to deliver campaigns to align with national and site marketing budgets for consumer marketing strategies. Ensure that campaigns are delivering to budget and is providing value for money across all properties.

• Develop and support a data and insights led marketing function working in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence team. • Support and guide the marketing function to focus on cost of acquisition and development of in-depth tracking. • Review, guide and lead wider marketing team to review customer feedback, trends, research and marketing insights to ensure that product, service, brand and content remains engaging to customers. • Collaborate with marketing team and Business Intelligence to develop monthly and yearly marketing activity reports – focused on results and ROI.

Brand Management

• Act as a custodian of the external brand – engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full engagement and alignment. • Alongside Marketing Director lead on brand development and alignment to maintain brand reputation and build awareness across consumer and B2B customers. • Support Marketing Director to ensure national consumer marketing campaigns and brand development align with corporate and wider business strategies.

Interdepartmental Relationships

• Be a key part of the wider business team – support operations, sales, finance and all departments to deliver to business goals. • Engage and support the promotion of residence events and activities through relevant channels. • Collaborate and manage the marketing team to deliver a supportive, engaged and productive working environment. • The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc). Travel may be required.

Team Management & Internal Comms

• Support Marketing Director to build an environment where all team members feel comfortable about raising concerns about our properties or practices as it relates to health, safety & welfare. • Support Marketing Director to build an internal comms function working closely with HR.

About you

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience. • Knowledge and experience in the student accommodation or property sectors would be desirable. • Strong digital and campaign management skills a must. • Experience of managing a team and working with wider departments remotely.

Skills/Ability/Knowledge:

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal). • Excellent interpersonal Skills and organisational skills. • Leadership skills. • Ability to juggle tasks and prioritise. • Clearly understand the concept of value/strong financial analysis skills. • Team player. • Sales/customer knowledge.
