All over the world you played your game Respect and loyalty followed your name Strong and fair with a healthy bite Friends with all as day turned to night Most at home in a good debate Regardless of topic you’d stay to checkmate Knowledge and detail of all far and wide So glad that you were on our side You’d say “Riddles and silence can win any war Loose lips sink ships, carry that far” And sure enough, never in doubt Those battles were won, without even a shout Always around when one needed to chat Never too busy with this or with that Great fun on a run, or the craic with a wine Memories to take to the finish line
