Dear Fellow Beef Producers, Welcome to the 35th annual “POT OF GOLD” Bull Sale! This year’s offering includes Gelbvieh and Balancer bulls, a select group of Simmental and Sim-Angus bulls, and a nice set of open heifers. Congratulations on being a part of the highest beef prices in history! Just because all cattle are bringing good returns this year, a producer still needs to keep using genetics that move their herd forward. Good genetics will always pay off not only in the first year but in years to come. We at “POT OF GOLD” are proud to be in our 35 th year of bringing our fellow beef producers the best genetics possible. Our offering has been highly scrutinized to bring you bulls that are structurally sound, have an attractive phenotype, and full of the maternal traits the Gelbvieh breed has to offer. The quality of the bull offering comes in part by the quality of the cows that raise them. The heifers offered in the sale repre- sent the same type of females that would raise the future generation of “POT OF GOLD” sale bulls. The bulls will be on site at the Montrose Event Center on Wednesday afternoon through Friday of sale week for your viewing. The pens will be set up near the sale ring. Please come early to pick the bulls that will work the best for your operation! Until that time, the bulls can be seen in the lot at 62687 Jay Jay Rd. Montrose, CO. If the weather is a problem, leave your trailer at home until you can pick up your bulls or arrangements can be made at the sale to have them delivered. Bulls can be left at the feedlot after the sale to continue to grow for $5 per bull per day until March 29th. Calving and just can’t make the sale?
