MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR We are delighted to have you join us and sincerely appreciate your continued support of EWA and its mission. We extend our deepest gratitude to our annual and event sponsors. Their generous and ongoing support makes it possible for EWA to deliver high-quality conferences such as this one and to continue advancing our work in advocacy, conservation, and member education. We encourage you to review the conference agenda carefully and take full advantage of the outstanding educational sessions planned for this year. Highlights include an update on the New World Screwworm threat from Dr. T.R. Lansford, Assistant State Veterinarian with the Texas Animal Health Commission; a presentation on parasites by Dr. Brittni East, DVM; a market update on fallow deer from Lance Clawson of Caveman Wildlife; and presentations from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representatives, who will also be available to answer permitting questions. In addition, we are pleased to offer another panel discussion on the use of prescription drugs and controlled substances in the exotic wildlife industry, featuring best practices guidance and a dedicated Q&A session. These seminars provide valuable insight and practical information, be sure to attend. The Elite Registry Auction and Exotic Auction promise to be exceptional once again. With nearly 160 high-quality animal lots and more than 47 items in the Grand Auction, including a popular Mystery Box filled with exciting and valuable items, these events are not to be missed. We are also pleased to offer a Kid’s Zone on Friday night, providing entertainment for our younger attendees. Beyond the educational and auction offerings, there is plenty of opportunity for fun and networking. Thursday’s Conservation golf tournament, beginning at noon, will benefit EWA’s advocacy and government relations efforts. That evening, join us for Poker Night, friendly competition and a chance to win. Friday night features Casino Night fun, fellowship, and games of chance. Bingo will also be offered on Friday night, with all proceeds supporting the EWA Conservation Foundation. We will conclude the AMM on Saturday night, Valentine’s Day, with a live concert by Uncle Lucious beginning at 10:00 p.m., so bring your sweetheart and enjoy a memorable night on the dance floor. We extend our sincere appreciation to the EWA Board of Directors and the Convention Committee for their leadership and dedication in bringing this outstanding conference together. Once again, thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible, and to our members and attendees for your continued support of the Exotic Wildlife Association.
We wish you an engaging, informative, and enjoyable 2026 Annual Membership Meeting.
