Welcome to our 51st annual Campbell Red Angus 2026 production sale. This year's bull offering is only the top born on this ranch. If you’re looking for open ribbed deep bodied, deep hipped cattle you need to see this offering. The CBR prefix runs deep in the pedigrees, you are getting the best of the best. Throughout the years our philosophy of old school hard numbers and phenotype hasn’t changed. We have incorporated genetic testing and enhanced EPD’s into the evaluation process. Make no mistake, the cattle still have to perform and breed back in our environment NO EXCUSES.!!! Many of the bulls in this offering have EPD’s in the very top of the Red Angus breed in multiple traits. All this and we still haven’t lost sight of the mama cow. They are run on the rough Dakota plains and are expected to be sound and produce. The calves are expected to push the scale down along with having figures. As you now know, we have moved the sale home. We feel moving the sale home shows a truer representation of the bulls and our program. Robert, Kara, Robby and Sara and Max are on the ranch full time. Kara and Sara teach in town in addition to helping on the ranch. Jennifer has finished her Veterinary Schooling and now works for Hosmer Veterinary Service. She also has taken over the veterinary care of our herd!!! Lacey and children have moved back home and are working and going to school in McIntosh. Melissa, her husband, daughter and son are still in Wyoming. The girls and their families still come home frequently to help out. Grandpa and Grandma’s joy and happiness stem from all six of their grandchildren. The cattle and genetics are the same base you have come to rely on since 1973. We have been participating in the “Red Cow Rally” the Red Angus Association offered. This verifies parentage and increases accuracies of EPD’s through DNA testing. All the bulls in the sale are parent verified through DNA. Our goal is to combine our ranch tested genetics with DNA testing to give you a phenotypically desirable animal with the backing of scientific data. We are confident we have produced a predictable, money- making animal for your herd. This year we are participating in the RAAA commercial marketing Gridmaster Challenge. This program will show the feeding ability, grading and overall carcass value of Campbell Red Angus
cattle. No matter what your selection criteria are you can find what you need here at Campbell Red Angus. 53 years and 4 generations of management input (That’s well over 100 years of combined experience) has given our operation a unique perspective. We have been feeding with our TMR feeder wagon for several years now. This year we fed a high roughage ration along with an adjusted supplement, and mineral. The bulls performed well. The scrotals are adjusted by the Red Angus Association and were taken January 21, 2026. The EPD’s in the catalog are BOLT as of January 26, 2026. We are bringing 5 high quality replacement heifers to our sale that represents a cross section of the herd. The heifers were developed with the whole group until January 28, 2026. They are on a high roughage TMR ration. They did quite well proving their feed efficiency and genetics. This year we are also offering 60 high quality commercial bred heifers that are due to calve between March 8 and April 1. Bring your trailer, they will be ready to start calving. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to bring these outstanding genetics into your herd. One last twist in this years sale we are going to offer pick of 1 of 5 Akaushi x Red Angus Steers. Pick the steer sale day and we will finish him in about August for you to take to your butcher!! If you prefer to finish the steer yourself, we are happy to accommodate.
