one of the trends in the new architecture of the 20th century 4 , that thanks to the order and the logic of the design would allow its reuse and permanent update, in contrast to a functionalist sense which would make the forms depend on the functions for which the building had been designed. The compositional rationality of Mardones has been put to the test by the passage of time, and has confirmed that it is possible to maintain an architecture that aspires, by its form and its design solutions, to be timelessness.
