El Hospital El Carmen de Maipú responde a la primera propuesta de concesiones hospitalarias en Chile –de servicios no clínicos–, junto con su homónimo en la comuna de La Florida. Se emplaza en un terreno de 5 há con un desnivel de 10 metros entre el acceso norte y el acceso sur, lo que definió su diseño. El Carmen Hospital of Maipú is the first hospital services concession initiative in Chile (for all services, with the exception of clinical) along with its namesake in the district of La Florida. It is located in a 5 hectare plot with a 10 meter level difference between the north and south entrances, a determining feature in the design.
