En el barrio Lastarria, caracterizado por los museos, la gastronomía y los espacios culturales, el proyecto ha buscado redefinir el concepto de hotel de lujo y aportar al entorno una experiencia que rememora el referente urbano y social que fue el antiguo Hotel Crillón, ligado a los propietarios de la cadena The Singular. Las regulaciones de la condición de zona típica del barrio se incorporaron como un aporte de un diseño arquitectónico que rescata y reinterpreta elementos propios de la arquitectura neoclásica para desarrollar una arquitectura atemporal: tanto en el uso de balcones y persianas como elementos apropiados al clima de Santiago, como a través del uso del ladrillo artesanal y la piedra natural en el zócalo para una inserción armónica con los vecinos edificios diseñados por L. Prieto Casanova y A. Cruz Montt.
In the middle of the Lastarria neighborhood, characterized by museums, gastronomy and cultural spaces, the project sought to redefine the concept of luxury hotel and contribute to the context with an experience that recalls the urban and social reference of the old Hotel Crillon, connected to the owners of the The Singular chain. The regulations related to the protected heritage condition of the neighborhood were incorporated as a contribution to the architectural design, aiming to recover and reinterpret elements of neoclassical architecture in a timeless design: the use of balconies and shutters as suitable elements for the climate of Santiago, and artisanal brick and natural stone bases for a harmonious integration with the neighboring buildings designed by L. Prieto Casanova and A. Cruz Montt.
