Following this idea and in addition to the required premises, a terrace was built on top of the building, which in turn connects to the parking via an observation bridge. This new independent access responds to the need for the more intense activities not to cross through the lounges and dining rooms of the club, affecting the tranquility of these spaces. Furthermore, by locating the building towards Presidente Riesco Avenue a new service entrance was created for staff, administration and kitchen supplies, that the club did not have until now. A social club is apparently a simple program to organize, but it contains a series of complex relationships between main and serving spaces, different intensities of uses, protocols to respect, etc., that make it interesting as an architectural commission. In the case of this building, the complexity of the terrain and having to fit between existing construction were additional challenges. Regarding the site, the building serves as a retaining wall in a particularly disaggregated section of the hill regarding soil quality; existing trees were also kept and used to create small light courts. As for the relationship with neighboring buildings, all floor levels were taken into consideration and its various circulations were articulated with the new building in order to provide an elevator to the existing installations.
