Wieczorek Limousin - 46th Annual Bull Sale [2/27/26]

46 YEARS Wieczorek Limousin is a fourth generation operation located in southeastern South Dakota. Our main headquarters is located on the original tract of land homesteaded in 1882 by ancestors who immigrated here from Germany. While the original sod house no longer exists, the values that the first generation instilled still do – Faith, Family, and Work Ethic. We have utilized artificial insemination since 1968 to advance the quality of our cow herd. In 1970, we expanded our existing multi-breed herd with Limousin sires, such as Dandy, Éclair, and Prince Pompadour. The ease of calving coupled with the calf vigor and muscularity from those first matings sold us on the breed. From that point forward, we switched exclusively to Limousin on the entire herd and began to build the PB herd that currently grazes our pastures. Our inaugural bull sale was hosted in 1981. To that end, one of the things we are most proud of is to have several cus- tomers that bought bulls at that first sale that are still purchasing WZRK genetics today. Over the years, many of our loyal bull buyers have become life long friends, and that’s something that makes us truly feel blessed. We take the people side of the business very seriously and never for granted, that’s why making sure customers are satisfied has always been our number one goal.

We are excited to announce that Brandon and Mandy Synhorst have joined our program and will serve as breeding herd managers with the primary emphasis being heifer development and reproduction. Both of them grew up working with livestock in their families respective cattle operations. Limousin cattle were a part of Brandon’s earliest memories as his parents had been using Limousin bulls for several years before Brandon arrived on the scene. In addition to taking on these new duties with team WZRK they also operate their own cow herd as well as maintain “day jobs”, Brandon with Custom Genetic Solutions and Mandy with Martin Trudeau Insurance. While the cow herd is mostly commercials, they have recently joined the North American Limousin Foundation and have started building a registered seedstock herd.
