All of our bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam issued by a certified veterinarian. All bulls are guaranteed breeding sound and carry a first breeding season guarantee. The first breeding season will be defined as 90 days after turnout. If your bull does not complete the first breeding season, the following applies: OPTION A, INSURING BULL/S AT TIME OF PURCHASE To help protect your investment in our genetics, Wieczorek Limousin will pay half of the cost to insure your purchase. You may select from an injury policy (which covers both accidental injuries and mortality) or a mortality only policy. If available in your state of residence, we would recommend an injury policy which would cover career ending injuries that are non-life threatening and would not be covered under a mortality policy. In the event of a claim, 100% of the insurance proceeds would go to the bull owner. OPTION B, NO INSURANCE If you choose not to insure your bull purchase and he sustains a career ending injury during the first breeding season, Wieczorek Limousin will provide 50% of the difference between purchase price and salvage value (min. salvage value of $1,000). This credit will be applied towards purchase of a bull of equal or greater value if one is available, or will be provided as a sale credit in next year’s sale. The buyer is responsible for notifying the seller immediately when injury occurs and is required to have the injured bull diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian. To qualify for this credit, buyer must notify seller and provide veterinarian’s diagnosis prior to selling the bull. All claims must be made prior to September 1.
