After using Winchester for a season and being thoroughly impressed, we purchased a semen interest in Winchester. We have used him mainly for breeding heifers for the past five years. The calves come easy with excellent vigor. He has a classic pedigree combining maybe the greatest female producer
in the history of the Angus breed in N Bar Emulation EXT and Coleman Donna 386, the matriarch of the Coleman program. The daughters are what you would expect. They are attractive wedge-shaped females with strong udder attachments and perfect teat size. His EPD profile has held strong even though he has more of a historic pedigree. His actual performance ratios from use in 7 herds show 102 ratio for yearling and weaning along with 106 for marbling. His progeny demonstrate extra length and excellent rib and capacity. Dispositions have been very good. We have only had one cow that needed to be culled due to temperament after calving. Excellent Winchester bull out of a first calf heifer. We keep going back to Winchester because of his timeless pedigree and the calves are very good.
