El cerro Santa Lucía, hito urbano, genera un límite entre barrios y produce desconexión y rompe la fluidez. Es lo que busca restablecer la propuesta, que se basa en un sistema de túneles acondicionados de acuerdo al programa y que busca conectar barrios. El proyecto incorpora los programas próximos al perímetro del cerro y los mezcla en un núcleo público. Se plantea una plaza pública en el interior, conexión vertical con la plaza Luis de Valdivia y rehabilitación del pasaje bajo la Alameda. The center of Santiago has a high population density and a need for public spaces. Santa Lucía Hill, an urban landmark, constitutes a boundary between neighborhoods creating a disconnection and a break in the flow. This is what the proposal aims to restore with a system of tunnels designed according to the functional program and seeking to connect the neighborhoods. The project incorporates the functions adjacent to the perimeter of the hill and brings them together in a public core, placed at the center of the hill. A vertical connection links with Luis de Valdivia Square above. The renovation of the passage under Alameda Avenue is also part of the proposal.
