IX CONCURSO DE ARQUITECTURA CORMA / IX CORMA Architecture Competition
En el capítulo de arquitectura del concurso Corma para estudiantes se llamó a diseñar proyectos de infraestructura para la movilidad urbana. Se recibieron 65 proyectos de 19 universidades chilenas. The architecture section of the CORMA (Corporation for the Promotion of Wood) competition for students called for the design of infrastructure projects for urban mobility. Sixty-five projects from nineteen Chilean universities were received. El jurado escogió la propuesta Metro Fluvial de Valdivia, desarrollada por un equipo de alumnos de la Universidad de Santiago. El jurado fue integrado por los arquitectos Francisco Vivanco, de la AOA; Fabiola Cortés, del MOP; Álvaro Salas, del MTT; Carolina Portugueis; Alberto Mozó, arquitecto experto en obras a base de madera, y Juan Sabbagh, Premio Nacional, además del ingeniero Enzo Valladares. El director del concurso fue Martín Hurtado. The jury chose the proposal for the River Metro of Valdivia, developed by a team of students from the University of Santiago. The jury was formed by architects Francisco Vivanco, from the AOA; Fabiola Cortés, from the Ministry of Public Works; Álvaro Salas, from the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications; Carolina Portugueis; Alberto Mozó, expert in wood-based works, and Juan Sabbagh, National Award recipient, as well as engineer Enzo Valladares. The director of the competition was Martín Hurtado.

METRO FLUVIAL VALDIVIA / VALDIVIA RIVER METRO Alumnos / Students: Paula Farfán, María Pía Mendoza, Esteban Paredes, Nicolás Pinares Profesor guía / Tutoring teacher: Rodrigo Aguilar Universidad de Santiago Se plantea un circuito de 10 km entre los ríos Valdivia, Calle- Calle y Cruces para un sistema de taxis fluviales públicos, con paradas definidas por las actuales necesidades del trazado, así como también proponer futuras detenciones. Busca reconocer la importancia de la movilidad sustentable peatón-bicicleta- transporte fluvial en el diseño del espacio público. El proyecto se desarrolla mediante operaciones simples que pretenden generar un impacto en el recorrido de modo de dotar a la ciudad de un nuevo hito en la extensión del borde del río. The proposal involves a 10 kilometer circuit between the Valdivia, Calle-Calle and Cruces rivers for a public river taxi system, with stops defined by current layout needs as well as future proposed stations. It seeks to recognize the significance of sustainable pedestrian/bicycle/river transport mobility in the design of public spaces. The project is developed with of simple operations intended to influence the circulation system and grant the city a new milestone in the expansion of the riverfront.
