El edificio se plantea como un conjunto de cuatro volúmenes que responden a distintos programas: acceso, salas de clases, gimnasio, sala de reuniones, etc. La orientación de los volúmenes se basa en las vistas norte y protección del viento y la lluvia. La volumetría persigue ser clara, austera y racional. Diferenciando un ciclo del otro, acortando las perspectivas y provocando diversos centros de atención del paisaje natural y arquitectónico. Al interior se plantean soluciones basadas en la arquitectura tradicional. Las galerías como expresión de arquitectura sustentable son llevadas al proyecto para generar espacios intermedios que rescaten la vista del paisaje local, que sirvan de patio cubierto con el fin de entregar a los alumnos un área de vida acogedora y cálida, además de actuar como elemento bioclimático que se abre con ventanas hacia el norte para absorber el calor y la luminosidad en invierno, y en verano generar ventilación natural. En definitiva, una arquitectura capaz de observar a su alrededor y que mediante las edificaciones que recorren el terreno genera los espacios de encuentro necesarios para la educación.
The building is conceived as a set of four volumes that respond to different programs: access, classrooms, gym, meeting rooms, and so on. The orientation of the volumes is based on the views, exposure to the northern sun and protection from wind and rain. The volumetric composition seeks to be clear, austere and rational. Differentiating one educational cycle from the other, shortening perspectives and creating various centers of attention within the natural and architectural landscape. The interior is based on solutions common in traditional architecture. The galleries are an expression of sustainable architecture and are placed in the project to generate intermediate spaces that preserve the view of the local landscape, and serve as a covered patio giving students an area of warm and cozy life. They also constitute a bioclimatic element with windows to the north to absorb heat and light in winter and generate natural ventilation in summer. In short, this architectural work is capable of relating with its surroundings and generates with its buildings the meeting places necessary for education.
