Alison began her academic career in 1994, and joined Swansea’s School of Law in 1999. She is now an Associate Professor, having spent over two decades in various leadership positions, culminating in her appointment as the Head of the School of Law in 2021.
Trilby is a Senior Lecturer specialising in legal practice. She is the Educational Lead for the School and is leading its portfolio development towards offering progressive programmes in line with the requirements of the SQE. Matthew’s focus is on on developing students’ communication skills. He works with students to prepare them for numerous external mooting events. He has also been instrumental in hosting several international competitions at the School of Law. Matthew Parry
As well as being a Senior Lecturer, having started his higher education career in 2014, Billy is also a practising barrister, specialising in family law. His teaching interests include developing practice-related skills in areas such as advocacy. Michael is a Professor specialising in legal Michael Draper practice. He’s held several leading positions in regard to learning and teaching and is an international expert on the prevention of contract cheating and the use of essay mills in higher education.
Katy Vaughan
Katy’s interests lie within the areas of human rights and counterterrorism. She was appointed as a Lecturer in 2016, and has worked in student-focused roles since, including several years as an Admissions Tutor. She is also the current Student Experience Lead.
